Let’s be honest, do we ever have an answer to this question? We especially don’t have much of a clue when it is asked in our childhood or teens. The reality is that we never really become any one thing. In real life we are constantly becoming and every successful endeavour only leads us into our next pursuit…

This is why I created ‘Becoming’ – a platform that will explore the journeys of successful people from all kinds of careers and other walks of life. We will go deeper and beyond the obvious to discover the experiences that significantly influenced the choices of the people we talk to. We will seek answers to the questions that tend to pose barriers into industries and career paths. We will showcase the successes, interrogate the failures and ultimately serve up insights that will prove invaluable to those hoping to walk a similar path.

As I look back on the many years that I have spent pursuing my dreams and aspirations in television and film production, I wish I had someone that would have pointed out the intricate challenges that I would face. I wish someone had given me some of their time to ask questions that could have helped me. I wish I had known upfront just how many no’s I would hear before I got my first yes! I wish there was a Becoming when I was desperately trying to become.
